What to do with all these shoes and bags???

Since I remember myself, I always loved shoes. bags too (probably like 99% of the women I know...)

moving to New-York and adjusting to its weather, upgraded my boots collections in probably 700%. I hate to see shoes all over the house or places in rows by the wall. therefore I was very happy when I discovered TRONES Ikea shoe cabinet (when I bought it, a few years ago, they had it in white as well).
This cabinet is pretty narrow - only 7 1/8" (18 cm) deep, so basically it can be even placed in a hallway without interrupting movement. width is 20 1/8 (51 cm) and height 15 3/8 (39 cm). Even if you stuck 3, one on top of the other (which is what I did), it would still be convenient and nice looking.

Since I already went to Ikea, I decided to look for a solution to all my bags. sometimes I think great solutions can be find in unusual places.
So this time I bought GRUNDTAL S hooks and from the same collection, stainless still wall shelf.

And this is how it looks together;
As you can see, I used the wall shelf to store boxes.

Top of shoe cabinet can be used for storage / display as well

My very first post

Hello!

My name is Shiri. I'm an architect.
Lot 71, somewhere in the Upper west side, is the location of my building
I have been living in New-York since 2003. Most of the time in small apartments. Finding functional and esthetic solutions to small spaces, is something I'm dealing with every day (especially now, when having two kids and way too many toys...)
In this blog I'll share some of my ideas and thoughts.

Enjoy!
